What is the most important thing to God? What is the thing that makes Him celebrate like nothing else does? Is it something we do? Is it obeying a certain command? Many times we think God is so concerned about WHAT people do and WHAT people have done that we forget the one thing He is most interested in: someone being WITH Him. That is so important to Him that He actually gave His Son to make a way for all people to be WITH Him, despite all the "WHAT" they've done.
In the VIP series we are going to look at Luke 15 and discover that God accepts people like they are and is more interested in us being WITH Him than in WHAT we’ve done. We will then discover, from that same passage, that the thing that makes Him celebrate, the thing that makes Him throw a party in heaven (according to Jesus) is when someone who wasn't WITH Him gets into a relationship WITH Him. This then will set us up for week 3 when we will be throwing a party especially for our students' friends who might not be WITH God. Our hope is to expose them, as our VIPs, just a bit to the incredible God that we know...and then maybe they too could be people who cause a party to break out in Heaven.
