Middle School Service Project
During the month of November the Middle School Ministry will be participating in the Be Rich campaign by partnering with Operation Christmas Child. Through this project middle school students will be given the opportunity to experience first hand what it means to give of their time and resources to children around the world. Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love.
Through a series called Serve 360, we will be challenging students in Xtreme to bring various supplies that will fill shoe boxes. These supplies can include but are not limited to: toys, hygeine items, school supplies, hard candy, etc... On the fourth week of November, we are going to bring all of these supplies together and actually pack the shoe boxes in Xtreme. The middle school staff is going to provide all of the shoe boxes, as well as the materials needed to decorate the boxes and write a personal note for each box.
